Claudy Imbert, owner of a luxury hotel in Rabat, Morocco, shares valuable insights for travelers from around the world who are interested in visiting the capital city.

Imbert discusses the unique charm of Morocco, making it an attractive destination for tourists. Morocco offers many experiences, from local markets known as medinas to beautiful landscapes and Moroccan cuisine. Moroccans are also known for being warm and welcoming people. Imbert highlights the importance of cultural involvement in the Moroccan tourism experience.

“Tourists are able to explore cultural diversity and old traditions, as well as Moroccan cuisine and meet with local artisans,” said Imbert. “It’s a country that leaves a unique impression.”

The COVID-19 pandemic had a strong impact on Morocco and the country faced many challenges. However, it remained strong and continued to move forward. The government handled the pandemic by putting safety measures in place to protect its people and the country was under lockdown for several months.

“The pandemic, of course, affected tourism in the country and all around the world,” said Imbert. “My hotel was closed for about six months. I can’t imagine how hard the lockdown must have been for people owning shops in the markets.”

Imbert also shares the efforts made by businesses, including her hotel, to adapt to new health protocols and prioritize guests’ safety after COVID-19.

“It’s important to stay safe after the pandemic, which is why we decided to leave hand sanitizer in every room of the hotel and common areas,” said Imbert. “It’s also important that our guests feel comfortable and have a good time at Villa Mandarine.”

Imbert is confident that Morocco will become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the future. The country’s beauty and culture will continue to attract travelers from around the world and make their experiences unique.
